Creekview Restaurant

5629 Main St. Williamsville, NY 14221

*First homesite built in Amherst in 1799

*Became the headquarters of General Winfield Scott during the War of 1812

*Main Street at this time was called “Great Iroquois Trail”

*It later became a Butcher shop

*Afterwards, it became a Brothel called “St. Charles Hotel”

*During the 1940’s it was a tavern called “Romans”

*Then in 1954 it was “Sportsman Lodge”

*”Creekside Restaurant” Fine Dining came around in 1971

*1981 the named changed to “Creekview Restaurant”

*Then in 1996 “Creekview Restaurant” was purchased by current owner David Schutte
